The experience of Pentecost 2006 in Rome was a time of renewal in my love to the Church and my desire to be holy. We had many highlights during the Trip. First, the encounter with the Holy Father on the Vigil of Pentecost; and the Mass on Pentecost Sunday at Saint Peter’s Square. We had the opportunity to share the many gifts the Holy Spirit has given to the Church through the Ecclesial Movements, we share with the Holy Father the joy of being One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and nourished by the example of many Saints in the City of Rome. This experience has strengthen us and with us the whole Church. Pope Benedict XVI encouraged us to be true witnesses of the Gifts of the Spirit in the World, living in accordance with the true freedom and responsibility and these words make me think about the greatness of our call to become holy as our Lord, and as many who, with love and courage, have reached the goal. Other important experience was to visit many saints, some of them with uncorrupted bodies proclaiming to the whole world that is possible to love as Christ did, that is possible to give our lives every minute to God…that Love is true. |
