BENEDICTO! BENEDICTO! Was the universal cry heard at the Vatican during the Pentecost 2006 Mass. Prayers were recited in Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, French and Russian. However, all Catholics were united in one harmonious chant – Benedicto!
The Mass was prayed in Latin which resurrected many emotional memories for my husband, who was an altar server, and myself, who sang in the choir, when ALL Masses were prayed in this one language. This was truly the most spiritual experience of our lives.
