I am a married woman with three small children. I was called to go on this Pilgrimage to Rome by myself. As I found myself longing for my family while all the way across the Atlantic, I also experienced the beauty of God’s love through community. When I first arrived in Rome, I had the privilege of participating in the II World Encounter of Ecclesial Movements and New Communities entitled “The Beauty of Being Christian and the Joy of Communicating It”, and that is the theme of my personal pilgrimage as well. Rediscovering the beauty of the face of Christ and of His Church every step of the way, I was confirmed in my Catholic faith and in my Sodalit Spirituality. I experienced the unity that the Holy Spirit gives to us in the diversity of gifts. Being Christians, a Gift, a Grace, a Responsibility; being a luminous sign of the beauty of Christ in the world today.
